Venue History: Farnham Castle was built by the grandson of William the Conqueror and was occupied by the Bishop's of Winchester and latterly by the Bishop of Guildford, until the late 1950's. Most of the Kings and Queens of England up to Queen Victoria stayed or visited the castle. The Bishop's Palace and Keep are now managed on behalf of the Church of England and English Heritage and operate as a training, conference and event venue.
