Venue special features: The house, steeped in history, has exceptional plaster ceilings, oak panelling, an oak staircase, magnificent open fireplaces and very light spacious bedrooms, each with its very own unique character. The impressive gardens, part designed by Gertrude Jekyll and featuring streams, ponds and fountains, are now part of the National Gardens Scheme.
Venue History: Lewtrenchard Manor is a Grade II listed Jacobean-style manor house close to Dartmoor National Park and only an hour’s drive from the Eden project and only 30 minutes from Exeter. The house dates back to the Doomsday Book and is mentioned in documents during the reign of Henry III whilst in the possession of the Trenchard family.
Other information: As Chef Patron, Jason Hornbuckle is passionate about food and the restaurant boasts an AA 3 Red Rosette Award. Jason offers a bespoke wedding breakfast menu service at no additional cost to ensure every bride and groom receive the personal attention and individuality their wedding day demands
