Highfield Hall Hotel was established in 1981. Family owned and specialising in weddings. The Hall is
set in acres of garden providing a beautiful background for your wedding photographs. We pride
ourselves on personal attention to every detail of your special day.
The conservatory overlooking the gardens has proved extremely versatile, being used regularly
for conferences, wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Highfield Hall was the first to be granted a license to hold civil ceremonies on the premises in
May 1995.
We can offer a variety of rooms overlooking mature gardens.

HONEYMOON
After "kidnapping" his bride, the groom would take her and go into hiding. By the time the bride's family tracked them down them, the bride would probably already be pregnant! A "bride price" would then be negotiated. An earlier source is the early Jewish custom of the bride and groom spending a week together alone immediately after the marriage feast.
