Posing the couple's hands and orchestrating kissing may seem like very small factors in people photography but the tiniest, subtle differences can completely change the impact in our final photograph.
Certainly, I have found that actual couples tend to pose better in terms of creating a sense of togetherness that does not appear contrived.
Models, on the other hand, tend to need to be posed correctly, especially when it comes to putting that slight break at the wrist. In terms of kissing,
again actual couples look much better when kissing, as there is usually not a hint of self-consciousness between them.
I hope you have enjoyed this in-depth look at close-up couple posing - in the next edition of Posing Pouch we will look at using movement and dance poses to generate imagery with high levels of dynamics.
Meanwhile, happy posing!
