The Societies of Photographers prepares for Exeter and Cardiff Photographic Road Shows

The Societies is pleased to announce 2 new photographic road shows to be held in Exeter on the 12 June and Cardiff on the 13 June.

The all-welcome events are the perfect opportunity to catch up with the latest products and services from the trade and gain education from a series of talks. A range of photographic lecturers have been lined up to teach budding photographers a range of photographic topics.

The Trade Show will feature leading photographic companies where attendees can get information on the latest equipment and services. Such as Sony, Aaduki, Pentax, The Flash Centre, Permajet, Photomart, Sim Imaging, Light Blue Software, Loxley Colour and so much more.

Colin Jones says, “We are delighted to bring the road shows back to Exeter and Cardiff. We have prepared free Masterclasses that will give photographers hints and tips on how to improve their photography and business, along with a trade show packed full of leading photographic companies eager to show you the latest in products and services from the industry.”

He continues, “If you are an aspiring photographer or operate your own photographic business you will find these days informative and educational. Tickets are free and this gains you entry to both the trade show and the Masterclasses.”

The Societies’ Monthly Image Competition April 2018 – Results Announced

1,426 images were entered in to April’s competition. 41 photographs were awarded a Gold award and 69 images achieved a Highly Commended.

SINWP Bird Photographer of the Year Competition 2018 is now open for entries

Bird Photographer of the Year Competition

Calling all photographers! Enter your best bird images into this exciting photo competition and help raise vital funds for The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB).

The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers is pleased to announce the inaugural Bird Photographer of the Year Competition in aid of RSPB.

Phil Jones The Societies CEO says, “We are really excited to announce this new competition for nature and wildlife photographers. We are asking for a small donation of £1 per image and 100% of this donation goes straight to the RSPB to help them protect wildlife and the wider countryside you love.”

He continues, “Not only are we looking forward to seeing all your wonderful images, we are also looking forward to helping the RSPB and with your help hopefully we can make a sizeable donation.”

The winner of the competition will win over £250 worth of photographic prizes, as well as the prestigious SINWP Bird Photographer of the Year Trophy and Certificate.

The competition closes on 31 July 2018. So don’t delay and enter your images today.
