The Societies’ Monthly Image Competition February 2018 – Results Announced

We are pleased to announce the results of the February 2018 Monthly Image Competition.

1,312 images were entered in to February’s competition. 23 photographs were awarded a Gold award and 73 images achieved a Highly Commended.

If You Are An Aspiring Photographer This Convention And Trade Show Is A Must!

The ‘big guns’ of the photo industry are gearing up for the 2018 Photo Trade Show in London.

Canon, Olympus, Sony, Fujifilm, Manfrotto, Elinchrom, Panasonic and Zeiss are just some of the leading companies lined up to show their products at The Societies’ London Convention and Trade Show.

To date bookings have been flooding in with attendees eager to see what is on offer and to build their ‘wish list’ of gear for their upcoming year.

The Societies’ CEO Phil Jones says ‘This is a great opportunity to be the first to see new products and services on offer from major manufacturers in the photographic industry. The Trade Show also offers attendees a comprehensive schedule of live demonstrations and lectures which makes it a must for those who are serious about their photography’.

Photographers planning to visit the biggest photographic Convention ever held in Europe, can still access the Trade Show element of the London-based event free of charge, if they pre-register before 5 January 2018.

The three-day trade show organised by The Societies, will be held at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel, Edgware Road, London, W2 1JU, starting on Friday 12 January 2018.

Over 100 exhibitors are preparing to show the latest products and services from the photographic industry.

Phil Jones, The Societies’ CEO says, “There is no question that this show is a ‘must-do’ event for all serious photographers”

He added, “Many of the trade have negotiated special deals for the 2018 Trade Show. There will also be a range of free demonstrations from some of the key players within the industry, such as Hasselblad, The Flash Centre, Sony…to name a few.

The Societies’ 2017 Trade Awards – Prize Draw Winner Announced

2018 conventionThe Societies’ 2017 Trade Awards voting has now completed and the winner of the 2018 Convention Masterclass Ticket has been chosen.

Tony Day was picked at random as the winner of the full Masterclass Convention pass for The Societies’ 2018 Convention.

We would like to take this opportunity thank everyone who has voted.

The winners of the Trade Awards will be announced at The Societies’ Awards Dinner during the 2018 Convention, along side the Photographer of the Year and the 20×16” Print Competition winners.

The class is now sold out and the 15 delegates are in for a real treat.
