Photokina a great success for Hahnemuhle

New products, artist signings and the presentation of the book project 'Milestones' made for a very busy booth on all days of the exhibition.

With the sale of sample packs, the company generated proceeds of nearly € 15,000 which will be donated to a wildlife project in Africa.

''For us as manufacturer of the best FineArt papers its all about the perfectly printed picture. With the exhibition character of our booth and our presentations we obviously met the expectations of our art-oriented fair visitors,'' says Ann Kristin Plss, head of Hahnemhle Marketing and Communications.

During the fair, the photographers Joachim Schmeisser, Peter Braunholz, Ren Staud, Werner Richner, Martin Husler and Manfred Kriegelstein - each on one day of the fair - gave away manually signed prints to friends of exclusive editions. ''For me, the presentation of the book Milestones was a particularly impressive highlight,'' adds Plss. ''This monumental art book features unique pictures from the world of cars and provides a representative sample of the complete works of the photographer Rene Staud.'' During the book presentation, Staud handed over a copy of the edition, limited to 125 copies to Dr Andrea Zagato, a representative of the Milan based car designer Dynasty.

Sample packs featuring different paper qualities are very popular when it comes to testing. For a 5 fee, paper enthusiasts could cover their needs. Nearly 3,000 packs were sold and the proceeds of nearly 15,000 will be donated to Kenyas David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust that takes care of orphaned elephants.
