Function room names and capacities: The 100 year-old Pulpshed sits adjacent to the Glen Ewin Estate homestead, lake and garden all of which is framed by mature trees and is the perfect setting for any special occasion. The Pulpshed is Glen Ewin's venue for larger functions and can accommodate up to 380 people for cocktail style events and 300 for sit-down dining. It is fully licensed. The exterior is clad in galvanized iron and it is internally insulated with baltic pine as well as being airconditioned. It has bi-folding doors that open onto a covered paved area for cocktails or alfresco dining.
The Gatehouse is a multi-function building. Along with its cellar door, which is also known as The Adelaide Hills Boutique Wine Centre, The Gatehouse hosts a range of corporate functions, weddings and events. The Gatehouse was completed in December 2009, and is modern and functional. Surrounded by three sides of large French doors, you can enjoy drinks on the covered deck whilst being protected from sun or rain, or guests can move out onto the terrace or lawn. Get married in the sunshine or undercover. If it's raining, enjoy the sound of water cascading off the roof into the pond, creating a romantic waterfall. Surrounded by rolling hills and a large deck overlooking the water, it provides a vibrant yet relaxed environment,and can accommodate up to 120 guests.

Glen Ewin is such a unique environment and we have had many friends and family comment that it was the best wedding they had ever been to.
Venue History: Glen Ewin was one of the earliest vineyards in South Australia with the first vines Frontignac, Black Hambro' and Roussillon planted about 1845. However, in 1891 wine making ceased due to George McEwin's religious concerns regarding the morality of the enterprise and, thereafter, effort was concentrated on the product for which the property became best known - Glen Ewin Jams.
Glen Ewin is now the home of the Wauchope family who have undertaken the daunting task of restoring not only the gracious homestead but also the large array of factory and outbuildings.
In the process of the Wauchopes rebuilding Glen Ewin it has once again become a hive of activity. The factory buildings are now used for climate-controlled wine storage (since 1992) and general storage, receptions, weddings, product launches and community events.
Glen Ewin Estate was voted the best function centre in South Australia in 2008 at which point we opted out of the voting for 2009 whilst we concentrated on the development of The Gatehouse facility which added to the prestige of Glen Ewin Estate.
The Gatehouse was completed in December 2009 on the site of the old coach house and stables at the property's entrance. The Gatehouse is modelled along the lines of the original building with stone, timber and tin being extensively used to ensure the heritage feel of the property is maintained.
It is not known exactly when the original Coach House/stable was built at the entrance to Glen Ewin, but suffice to say it was standing for well over 100 years. It had a cobbled floor and was constructed with jarrah columns with oregon used elsewhere in the construction and clad with corrugated iron imported from England.
The Gatehouse adds a second function venue to the Estate and a dedicated function room. It is also the home of The Hills Boutique Wine Centre' and has a wonderful Cellar Door which is host to 14 boutique Adelaide Hills wineries.
