The Society Book Shop
When it comes to books on the social sector there are few collections with the depth and range of those published by Amherst Media. They have a simple formula. Every book is 128 pages, soft backed and in American Quarto size of 8.5x11inches. With this page limitation comes a certain conciseness of subject, typified perhaps by Norman Phillips' High Key, Low Key, and now, Middle Key lighting guides, one for each topic. The problem for the would-be purchaser is deciding which ones to go for (and it has to be more than one!). The easiest way is to browse the book stand at one of the many events that The Societies attend or organise. Failing that you will find about 150 words on each of the books on the website www.thesocieties.net/store. The covers shown in the combination photograph above are the recent releases. |

Lightroom : Digital Workflow Simplify by Art P
Suwansang (Superclass) Saturday 15 January 09:00-13:00 Go through the various stages of the digital
workflow with Art and learn the best practice on handing your images from
capture to delivery. In this class, the workflow will be broken down in
stages that are simple and easy to understand. Some of the stages in the
process are download, import, selects, adjustments, renaming and export. In
all of these stages there’ll be tips on how to best deal with the digital
files and tricks on how to speed up your workflow. Learn how to integrate
these basic workflow stages into Lightroom. And the best part is that we’ll
go over these lessons in a hands-on session where you can do it yourself and
take your workflow to new heights. This class is very limited on numbers. |
