My greatest strengths An eye for composition and beauty, as well as being able to communicate with people and put them at their ease I have been in photography Since I was old enough to press the shutter at about six years old! Then, semi-professionally since my teen years How I got started in photography Learning "on the job" by following my father My photographic skills An eye for composition - good with people - listening to what the customer wants My personality Friendly, off-centre, enthusiastic and professional Geographic areas I cover Cornwall & South West Devon - but will travel further by arrangement Venues I frequently attend. Castles and Stately Homes I found inspiration from: Great photographers such as G Ivan Barnett (my father), Ansel Adams, Helmut Newton, Bob Carlos Clarke, David Hamilton, Patrick Lichfield, Henri Cartier Bresson, Annie Leibovitz, Stefan Soell, Sally Mann . . . - Also the Impressionist Painters and the Pre-Raphaelites Photographic training: Taught by my father and then GCE 'O' Level My interests outside photography: Writing fiction, Cooking (I once worked as a chef), listening to music (all sorts), F1 Racing Major events: Taking a grab "portrait" of the Queen on an old Kodak Brownie when I was 8 years old. I got a letter of thanks from Buckingham Palace!
