Full Time Professional Photographer
My photographic style: Quality imagery is what I strive for. I like a variety in my images from the simple to the dramatic, from posed images to reportage style. I think as Professionals we assess the subjects and use our experience to apply the relevant style.
My greatest strengths: Technique in capturing the character and personality of my subjects, through good communication and a wicked sense of humour!!
I have been in photography: Since I was a young boy I have been a keen Photographer. My father worked in the industry and I guess it's in the blood.
How I got started in photography: I inherited a camera from my Dad when I was seven years of age and the rest is history.
My photographic skills: Communication and Technical know how
My personality: Up beat and humorous
Geographic areas I cover: I cover the whole of the Republic of Ireland
Venues I frequently attend: I like Hotels and Historical venues. But I enjoy all venues as they all have their own interesting backdrops which I like to incorporate into my images.
I found inspiration from: Great photographers like - Ciaran Whyte, Mark Sedwidge, Martin Byrd, Gabriel O'Shaughnessy and Podge Kelly. All of which are renowned for their people photography. Their images inspire me.
Success in photography: I currently hold a Licentiateship in the IPF
Photographic training: Mostly self taught but I have been brought up in the camera club culture and I attend many seminars and workshops regularly in order to keep my skills current.
My interests outside photography: I am a keen Sports fan but I have little time for anything else as Photography and my young family keeps me very busy.
Major events: My own Wedding & the birth of my three children.
