About
Marie de Verdier Persson is a Swedish professional photographer renowned for her emotive portrait work, specialising in children, families and domesticated animals.With over 15 years of experience, Marie has been a full-time photographer since 2009 and has operated her own studio since 2014. Her work is characterised by strong visual storytelling, technical excellence and a deep sensitivity for capturing personality and genuine emotion.
Marie holds the prestigious Qualified European Photographer (QEP) distinction, awarded in 2017 for a panel of expressive animal portraits, and she also completed a Master's Degree in Photography through the Swedish Handicraft Council. Her work has received recognition in both national and international competitions, including awards and high placements in Swedish Championships and international photographic contests.
Highly engaged in the professional photographic community, Marie serves on the board of the Swedish Portrait Photographers Association and represents Sweden on the board of the Federation of European Photographers (FEP). She is also an active member of the Competition Committee for the Swedish Championships of Photography (SM i Fotografi), where she contributes to the development, structure and quality assurance of one of Sweden's most respected professional competitions.
Since 2018, Marie has been a certified competition judge, judging prestigious awards such as the World Photographic Cup and FEP Awards. Her ongoing commitment to education, collaboration and professional excellence continues to shape both her own work and the wider photographic industry.
