Hi, I'm Eddie Spence a Belfast based photographer, specialising in wedding and portrait photography throughout Northern Ireland.
I've been involved in photography for over thirty years mainly photographing events, then around five years ago I started into several different aspects of photography training, initially through college and then taking many different workshops, it was through this route that I became involved in the business side of the profession, starting out with photographing events, then getting into portraiture work and from that I was asked to photograph my first wedding. From then wedding photography quickly became my main interest and I developed a style and approach to the craft that helps ensure that I can capture all those moments throughout your day that will be treasured for the rest of your life.
My photography style has been described as cinematic and elegant, though I strive to keep all posed shots very natural looking, neither feeling forced or staged, I compose many shots incorporating lighting to give a dramatic effect and it's this technical aspect of my photography that when combined with both natural light images and documentary style shots, will blend together to capture not just the key moments from your day but the feel and excitement of this major life event.
