BookSimple Lighting Techniques for Portrait Photographers

Photographers often spend tens of thousands of dollars on the latest lights, light modifiers, and lighting gadgets. As Bill hurter shows in this book, however, they may be headed down a costly road to nowhere. Instead of complexity, he suggests, photographers should seek simplicity. This creates a look more "true" to portrait viewers and has come to be preferred over the more contrived looks that were popular in previous decades. Packed with incredible images from top photographers, this book is a critical resource for professional photographers (and aspiring professionals who want to create more natural portraits and get fewer headaches doing so.

Trevor and Faye Yerbury - Speakers’ Corner

We don’t believe there’s ever been a speaker line-up quite like this before at any photo convention - anywhere.

At the pioneering seven day-long 2010 gathering our broad church of professional and aspirational photographer visitors will have a truly enormous choice of seminars.

Of course it would be impossible to produce personal profiles for every single speaker, so we’ve drawn a dozen of these key names out of the hat to give you an exclusive ‘cross-section’ profile snapshot.

The business was established in 1864. I was established a little after that but nevertheless I confess to have been a pro here for more than forty years now. I’ve had several one man exhibitions over the years and we’ve been fortunate enough to win numerous awards. In addition there have been many TV and radio appearances and I was lucky enough to be presented to The Queen - before I photographed her.

Bumps and Babies - by Julie Hughes (Superclass)

Sunday 17 Jan 14:00 - 18:00

During these difficult times one area of portraiture seems to be least effected. It is Pregnancy and Babies, especially first born.

Only ten lucky students will be admitted to this in depth learning experience with Julie.

She will cover from finding high quality leads marketing to them followed by telephone sales methods including trial closes and closing.

Great new product ideas in addition to traditional wall-portraits and albums. Album design without using "same old" templates. Naturally posing , lighting along with client comfort and enjoyment are important and will be covered. With a small group everyone has plenty of time to ask questions and have individual attention.

If you have not seen Julie before , this is a not to be missed talk on an area where you can still enjoy good profits and a continuing relationships with you clients..
