Amanda Collins has an Exhibition here. At the age of 15, my father bought me my first camera, a 35mm compact Ricoh. He was the one to inspire me on my journey into a passion of photography. He taught me how to use a dark room (and I would have used it more had I not been afraid of the dark!), developing black and white photos. After studying Art, and for a while painting portraits for commission, I moved to Europe, then into the full time world of sales/customer service and raising a family. It gave me little time to follow my dreams of becoming a professional photographer. Now, based in Chelmsford and a Studio in Billericay, Essex, 20 something years later, a loving husband, 3 grown up children, the passion has become a profession. My approach to photography is relaxed and fun and I am very passionate about what I do, whether it’s covering a 14hr wedding (and I’ve done a few!) or just having fun with a family in the studio or at their home, my unhurried approach and artistic eye captures the moment. My studio door is always open and I often have previous clients popping in for a chat and a cuppa as they claim I am so easy going!
