Type business: Full Time Professional My photographic style: My style is a mixture of formal and reportage. I am currently is the process of honing my formal posed shots. I am looking to include a more stylised aspect to my work to compliment the candid photography. My greatest strengths: My personality, my tenacity to improve and asking questions. I have been in photography: I have been interested in photography since the age of sixteen. I have been building my business on my own seriously since 2005. How I got started in photography: I was given my first proper camera for my 16th Birthday, a Practika MTL5. I wanted one of those disc cameras that were popular at the time but Dad would not hear of it! My photographic skills: Being able to put people at their ease. Not becoming stressed when things do not go to plan. Making photography as fun as possible. My personality: Friendly, personable, quick witted and I genuinely like people and talking to them. Those that know me would say, boy she loves to talk! Geographic areas I cover: In the main Sussex, Kent and Surrey. Venues I frequently attend: There are so many to choose from. The Felbridge as it is so close and the staff are lovely. Hever as it is just beautiful, London Golf Club for the views, most recently Birling Manor and the cow shed on a farm! The list would just go on and on. I found inspiration from: Norman Parkinson Mark Cleghorn for his style and brilliant teaching. Doug Gordon again for his style and brilliant teaching. The Yerburys. I have just started looking at their work and it is beautiful. The Mentors on the Mentor Me Programme as they have given me some good critiques and taught me a lot about how I should view my photography. Success in photography: I am currently working towards my LSWPP and that is successful in the fact that although I am still working towards it, the process it helping me to change and improve. Photographic training: I am a member of Photo Training 4 U. I am working towards my LSWPP and I use the invaluable Mentor Me Programme. I have attended Members' Day and attended my first Monkey Business. I am looking into my training at the next SWPP convention and also other external courses. My interests outside photography: I love photography but sitting on a beach sipping a rum punch listening to the gentle sound of waves whilst reading a book is a close competitor. All my lovely Godchildren, Cousins and all my lovely family with whom I am so close and will always be able to rely on. Why I like the SWPP: Its genuine desire to want the standard in the photographic industry to improve. The desire to help, and Phil Jones gave up his precious time to speak with me about one of my Mentor Me Reports just because he wanted to help; now that is a good quality. The free Mentor Me Programme and the forum with the wealth of knowledge and advice, the list could go on and on. Future plans: To grow and improve and to become the best I possibly can.
