an example of the images created by Nigel Hutchinson

My name is Nigel, I am a happily married guy to my wonderful wife Teresa, we reside in the lovely town of Eastbourne and between us we have 4 handsome sons and a beautiful granddaughter.

I am inspired by the works of Frank Doorhof (I have attended his seminars) , Jason Lanier.

Also inspired by the art of Jack Vettriano I have completed photography courses with the Open University I have been a photographer since the 1980's (yes i'm old :) ) I learnt to make pictures on camera's where I couldn't afford the P mode ( P stood for professional mode then).

Therefore I am at home with manual mode and using lightmeters.

Eventually I manage to afford my first canon (AV1) then a canon AE1 program all the time wishing I could afford Nikon gear.

Roll on a few years and digital came and I switched to Nikon with a D50, which to be fair I loved (not sure now if it was the camera the images or just what I could achieve with digital) This was followed by a D80 then a D7000 (which I still have) but I really could not get enthusiastic about taking pictures and eventually my pictures became fewer and fewer.

During this period I had completed commercial shoots, 20 plus weddings and a multitude of model shoots and had an exhibition.

Then I saw a Fuji X100T, I had not heard of a X100, X100S or XPRO1 thats how long my disinterest had been, but it inspired me enough to spend a £1000 on a hobby/profession I had dropped out of.

Since I have added an XPRO1 with 18-55mm 18mm 27mm and an awesome 60mm lens which has hit my sweet spot and ready to jump back into photography with a passion I thought was lost.

Thank you Fuji.
