Type business: Full Time Professional Photographer My photographic style: My style of photography is relaxed, informal and creative. My greatest strengths: I believe my strengths to be in the quality of my images, together with competitive pricing and my calm and unobtrusive nature. I have been in photography: I first picked up a camera when I was about 13, so many, many years, but professionally since 2005. How I got started in photography: This is a second career choice for me, having firstly been a PA/Office Manager for c.15 years. After studying photography more formally at South Nottingham College a studio space became available and I took the plunge into my new career. My photographic skills: I'm an experienced in both studio and location photography, love to try new techniques and work with my subjects and their ideas to create the best images for them. My personality: I have a quiet nature with a dry sense of humour. I'm a great listener, and very empathetic. If you are looking for brash, outspoken and loud - I'm not your woman! Geographic areas I cover: Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Southern Derbyshire Venues I frequently attend: Any of the wonderful park and woodlands in the area. I found inspiration from: Too many to mention, but I regularly scout through magazines and different photographers' blogs to see where trends are heading, for lighting ideas, and general inspiration. Success in photography: I don't find much time for enter competitions these days, but I was a previous winner of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Calendar competition. Photographic training: City and Guilds first off, but now I frequently attend different workshops and seminars by various photographers, editing experts, and business people to constantly refresh, learn new skills, or get a different interpretation on existing knowledge. My interests outside photography: Wildlife, Travel, and Sport. I love most aspects of wildlife and am always keen to see the brilliant nature programmes on the BBC. I love to get away overseas every year, although the older you get, the worse long haul flights seem to be. And I love my sport, from football, to golf, gymnastics, bit of tennis etc. Major events: A year round the world adventure when I was 24. Getting married. Testimonials: Most people comment that they like the way I interact with them and put them at ease during a shoot, as well as finding it hard to choose from so many great images. Tagline: I'll let you know when I come up with a good one! Future plans: To grow my business, experiment more, keep learning and take even better images.
