Having your portrait taken is very personal, so it's vital to know something about the photographer. I create fresh, contemporary images that are more than just a good likeness - I want them to reflect the personality of the sitter.
My approach to lifestyle photography is to capture natural, candid expressions and movement, in a relaxed atmosphere at a chosen location. I aim for a look that is both simple and stylish, in keeping with today's trends. Recording a unique moment through the art of photography has long been a passion of mine. It began in my school days, with an old film camera mainly held together by tape! But it worked, and I had a fantastic time taking black-and-white photos of the school football team, my family and anything that caught my interest.
Since then, photography has been my constant companion, from recording the growth and development of my two wonderful children, through to an incredible safari in Namibia in 2004. My first job was working for a pioneering documentary film company; there was no video then, just good old-fashioned 16mm film... I then worked in the publishing industry, which took me around the world on various assignments. Today, my passion for photography leads me to create images that I hope will be viewed and enjoyed for generations to come
