Helen Carter is a pet, equine and family portrait photographer based in Buckinghamshire, also working across Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
Hello, my name is Helen. I am a lifestyle and fine art photographer specialising in pet, equine and family portrait photography.
I have been photographing families since 2012 and, after completing specialist training with an internationally renowned photographer, I decided to branch out. Alongside my love of family portraiture, I recognise how important our pets and equine companions are to our health and wellbeing and how much they are truly part of the family.
I now specialise in cat, dog and horse portrait photography, offering beach, woodland and urban photoshoots to create beautiful wall art for your home. I am passionate about creating amazing images of our companions at every stage of their lives. I also offer compassionate end-of-life and celebration-of-life sessions for older and terminally ill pets and horses.
While on location, I use a combination of documentary-style and posed photography, then artistically craft the images in post-production to create your own unique artwork. I photograph moments as they naturally unfold, placing myself unobtrusively within the environment to anticipate what might happen next.
I am passionate about capturing special moments that reveal the essence of each individual, family and animal. I would love to work with you to capture those precious memories and preserve your family's story, from childhood through to adulthood, in an easy-going and fun way.
