Sport and event photography isn't just something I do - it's something I genuinely love. There's an energy to it that you simply don't find anywhere else. Every match, every event, every moment is different, and that unpredictability is exactly what keeps me coming back with a camera in hand.
What first drew me into sports photography was the intensity. Whether it's the split-second a striker connects with the ball, a last-ditch tackle, or the raw emotion after a goal, these are moments that can't be repeated. You either capture them - or they're gone forever. That challenge pushes me to stay focused, to anticipate what's about to happen, and to be ready at exactly the right time.
Being based in the North East of England, I'm lucky to have access to a wide range of sporting events and venues, from grassroots football to larger competitive fixtures. There's something incredibly rewarding about photographing sport at every level. It's not just about the action on the pitch - it's about the atmosphere, the supporters, the tension, and the stories unfolding all around.
