James DeCamp is an award-winning photojourJames DeCamp is an award-winning professional photographer and photojournalist based in Columbus, Ohio, USA, with more than 30 years of experience working in editorial, corporate, documentary and event photography. He spent over 15 years as a staff photographer at The Columbus Dispatch, covering major news, feature and sports assignments, before transitioning to a long-standing freelance career serving a diverse range of national and international clients. James is known for his strong storytelling instincts, clean visual style and ability to work confidently in high-pressure environments. His assignments range from corporate and higher-education photography to nonprofit, broadcast and large-scale event coverage. Clients include Kenyon College, The Ohio State University, AmericanHort, the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, Komen Race for the Cure, The Ohio Business Roundtable and The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
