I'm a keen amateur photographer specialising in landscapes and seascapes, with a passion for capturing the beauty of the natural world. Living in North East Scotland gives me easy access to a diverse range of photographic locations, from the rugged coastline and dramatic seascapes to the stunning landscapes of Royal Deeside, the mighty Cairngorms, and the beautiful scenery of Morayshire.
My journey into photography began after a career serving in the Royal Navy (Submarines) followed by many years working in the offshore Oil and Gas industry. Photography has given me the opportunity to explore the outdoors, enjoy fresh air, and continually develop my skills while discovering new places.
For me, photography is not just about creating images; it's about the experiences along the way. Whether I'm standing on a remote coastline, exploring mountain landscapes, or simply enjoying the surroundings, there is always something new to discover. I also enjoy the social side of photography and rarely head out without meeting someone who wants to chat, share the view, or appreciate the scenery being captured.
