Capturing images that show his 4-pawed subjects in their happy places for commercial clients and everyday family dogs is Craig's passion-turned-career, which he's been doing since 2001.
When not travelling the world working on his long term Dogs of the World project, photographing dog breeds in the places they originate, or teaching at dog photography retreats, Craig calls Christchurch home.
A Grand Master of the NZIPP, Craig was the first ever photographer to win a portrait category at the IRIS awards with photos of non-human subjects. In 2023 Craig was the winner of the inaugural Animal category in the same awards.
Passionate about teaching, Craig co-founded Unleashed Education in 2021 with Charlotte Reeves, creating a leading learning hub for pet photographers. Through online courses, editing tutorials, and mentoring, together they help photographers refine their skills and build confidence.
Together their mission is simple - to elevate pet photography and help others create images that shine.
Craig is also a Fujifilm ambassador and has written and photographed three bestselling books, with a fourth on the way in early 2026!
