I'm a hobbyist in my late 70s. I started this journey 6 years ago when I was gifted a Nikon D3400 and 18-140 lens. I did a free online course (AYWMC) and learnt exposure triangle and within 6 weeks I was able to shoot manual, which I continue to do. Yes I'm a control freak so don't want the camera doing stuff for me!!
I initially did jpegs but slowly moved to that and raw and now shoot only Raw. I'm now shooting with a Nikon Z6ii and wow how it's helped me further develop. I'm still on the photographic journey as I'm sure all of us are as the road is unending.
I am now progressing from basic edits on laptop onto ACR and Photoshop and though this road is a bit bumpy so I have to retrace my steps it's an enjoyable ride.
I am looking forward to progressing on my journey with the advice support and challenges of being a member.
