John Newton Caruana photographer in Kent UK Type business: Full Time Professional Photographer My photographic style: Relaxed formal and informal portraiture My greatest strengths: Ability to get on with people and lots of patience with families and children I have been in photography: Professionally for 10 years but have been keen on photography for the last 40. Photography is also one of my hobbies. How I got started in photography: At the age of 14 I set up my own black and white darkroom and shot on 35mm film with my Zenith camera. My photographic skills: Ability to put people at ease and get the best out of the technology available today. My personality: Easy to get on with, won't give up. Geographic areas I cover: Kent, East and West Sussex Venues I frequently attend: My own studio or hotels for special events. I found inspiration from: Creation of a unique image that I have put my own personal stamp on. Success in photography: Won the SWPP Photographer of the year for Pets. LSWPP since 2003. Photographic training: Various SWPP training events over the last 10 years. Original career in electronics and computing to HND My interests outside photography: Making and flying radio control model aircraft.
