Jim Chamberlain photographer in Florida USA Type business: Full Time Professional My photographic style: Artistic photography in the manor of the late 19 early 20 century painters. Landscapes with a strong emotional tie to colour and texture My greatest strengths: The ability to appreciate the subtleties of light as it sculpts the landscape I have been in photography: since 1970 when I sold my first portrait. 40 years How I got started in photography: When my parents stuck a camera in my hands on a summer vacation when I was 8 years old, the rest is history. My photographic skills: the ability to look beyond the mechanics of my photographic tools camera & digital, and put my vision into print. What matters to me is the image I create, not what I use to get there. My personality: Outgoing, sometimes too much Geographic areas I cover: anywhere with great food & wine, great people and great landscapes to photograph Venues I frequently attend: 15th century villages of France & Italy I found inspiration from: Life and meeting people Success in photography: Master of Photography, Master of Electronic Imaging, Photographic Craftsman, from PPA. Imaging Excellence Award for over 13 PPA Loan Collection Prints, with a total of over 50+ print merits in only 10 years, Featured on ABC & CBS television programs on photography, Very proud of an Art exhibit I had in 2008 along side famous artists, Picasso, Warhole, Miro, Rauschenberg, Manson, In 2010 I had a photograph in Prince Charles's, Clarence House with a nice letter of thanks and acknowledgement from the Prince. I don't think what I do is teach rather than show others my vision and help them find their own. Major events: my 25th wedding anniversary with a trip to Egypt, Israel. Greece, Turkey, Croatia and finishing in Venice. I want to Photograph the moods, feelings and colours of these places. And finally: I love photography more now than I have ever, my next trip is always my favourite.
