Peter King Photographer providing photographic services in Tiverton Devon Type business: Full Time Professional My photographic style: Our style is natural, modern and relaxed, we strive to get the right look for the client with our 'touch' to ensure our 'look' is recognised. The soft glow of our images provide a romantic yet edgy feel. My greatest strengths: Our greatest strengths our working really close together working as a team to achieve our goal. We aim to get the very best, listening to our clients needs and fulfilling there requests to the highest of standards. I have been in photography: We have been working professionally for a number years now, photography has been always been our passion. The work we provide is not part of our job, its what we enjoy and love. How I got started in photography: I first got started taking pictures when I was a child , picking up my dads SLR when he wasn't around and him wandering where these pictures came from when he got the film developed. This was the starting point for me taking pictures. Not long after I got my own camera saving every penny I had to buy film and get it developed. As time went on photography became my biggest passion, the professional role came after meeting my wife and her encouragement to do what I loved. My photographic skills: having not undertaken any photography qualifications, the camera has always been my tutor, I read books and articles daily and attend conferences to keep up to date. I can see the 'story' I want to tell and develop a good understanding of the client to bring the story together prior to the big day. My personality: I like to have a giggle especially when the client is very stressed, it allows the ice to be broken and for them to know they can relax and not be under pressure to know what the photographer is doing, just ensuring them that they can enjoy the day and we will capture the most natural images by them doing so. I strive for perfection in everything I do, I like my clients to feel that the work they expect is being put in and that they will get a really good outcome. Geographic areas I cover: Based in mid-Devon I am free to roam around the Devon area, the south west is easily achievable and nowhere is too far. Venues I frequently attend: I enjoy to capture church weddings for the culture of the buildings and the lighting, but also to great venues like big manor houses, marquee weddings are fab for lighting and any other venues add that little edge of excitement in never knowing quite what you are going to get. I found inspiration from: I have great admiration for many peoples work, I particularly follow the work of Annabel Williams. Her images are always beautiful and full of stunning lighting, interesting subjects and care for the look she achieves. I find inspiration from all around me, nature plays a big part in the way I see things. My interests outside photography: I have a keen interest in music and film, these are the things I enjoy when I get a 'little' time to my self! My children and wife are a big part of who I am and have become, and it is always great to get outdoors with them and capture everyday together.
