Type business: Full Time Professional Photographer My photographic style: A relaxed style of photography with an emphasis on quality and style with an eye for detail My greatest strengths: Helping people relax in front of the camera and getting the best possible out of them which really shows in their final product I have been in photography: Over ten years How I got started in photography: I started with landscape and astrophotography as a hobby and was asked more and more to cover family events and portraits and it snowballed from there My photographic skills: technical know how with the camera and lighting, a keen eye for detail, a relaxed and considered approach My personality: Easy going with a sense of humour Geographic areas I cover: All of the Island of Ireland (its not that big really) I found inspiration from: David Noton for Landscapes and too many wedding photographers to mention Photographic training: Self taught for the most part but regularly attend seminars and training courses to hone in on the key skills My interests outside photography: Gaelic football, Rugby and local history Why I like the SWPP: A chance to improve your photography through the mentor me programme and test your skills in the competitions Future plans: To be at the top of the profession and known for quality and style Fergal McGrath Qualification Panel.
