My greatest strengths: Keeping calm under pressure. I have been in photography: 20 years How I got started in photography...: I got my BA degree in Photography at the age of 21. I had no choice but to make a career of it! My photographic skills: People skills and communication. My personality: Cool, calm and collected. Geographic areas I cover: Nottingham and Derby for portraits. The World for weddings. Venues I frequently attend: I like them all. From a barn in a field to the Ritz in London. I found inspiration from: Fashion photography masters shooting for Italian Vogue. Success in photography: I don't enter competitions. Photographic training: My BA (Hons) degree in 1991 and several small courses I attend every year to keep my mind ticking over. My interests outside photography: I love music. All sorts. Best wishes for all your future work and thank you again for a job well done regards Cat and Craig Nick and I got married Sunday 11th July 2010. We started researching which photographer to choose back in the Winter of 2009 and like all couples traipsed round weekend after weekend of Wedding Fairs, furnishing ourselves with carrier bags full of quotes, business cards and flyers...but which to choose? They all looked professional, all very pleasant...all very much the same. Mamad came recommended via a friend of mine, we checked out his website and set up a meeting at our chosen wedding venue. From the moment we met we did not need any further persuasion, and I'm afraid the carrier bags went straight in the bin. Mamad put us immediately at ease, and I think more than anything we completely trusted his judgement and his unique sense of style. Nick and I wanted our photos to be relaxed, reflect our sense of humour, and to capture the magic moments that can easily slip away in the haze of stress and anxiety. Mamad totally understood that, and totally delivered that. We met Mamad on a couple of further occasions to clarify our needs and to also do an 'Engagement Photo' which our guests could sign on the day of our wedding. We definitely recommend getting this done...it's a great laugh, and something we'll cherish forever. On the day of our wedding we could not have asked for a more superb service! He was so in control (when you don't feel in control), so calm (when you don't feel calm) and everything that we could have dreamed of. He made both of us, and all our guests feel totally relaxed and more than anything we had fun! Our photos are amazing...I defy anyone to not shed a tear whilst first seeing your special photos. Mamad has captured personalities, moments of hilarious fooling around, and treasured seconds of tenderness. We love them. Whilst the big day goes in a flash, our memories will now last forever.
