Type business: Full Time Professional Photographer My photographic style: Professional Photographer specialising in bespoke child and family lifestyle portrait photography. I also am a British Landscape photographer under Tori Beth Photography and an Events photographer with my family run business Icon Imagery My greatest strengths: To listen to my clients and provide a portrait session that is completely unique to their personalities and family. I incorporate my love of landscape photography in my portrait sessions, to capture the beauty of children within the natural environment. I have been in photography: I have been a full time professional photographer for three years now. I started my company Tori Beth Photography which initially was a vehicle to showcase my landscape photography. This has proved successful over the years and I ran my first solo exhibition at Wrexham Library in the Autumn of 2010. In 2009 I set up my Event Photographers company Icon Imagery which is a family run business. We cover charity events, balls, black tie, proms and early years photography. Also in 2009 I set up Tori Beth Portraits. My portrait photography combines my love of the outdoors with bespoke on-location sessions for children and families. Each shoot is different and each client gets an input into where they are to be photographed. This could be a family garden, a beach, in the woods or for the very young in their family home. Because each session is different the resulting photographs uniquely showcase the personality of my subjects and the joy of being outdoors! How I got started in photography: I travelled for much of 2005/6 and on my return enlisted in night classes for three years gaining a city and guilds photography award and a distinction in my HNC level 5. My photographic skills: To listen to clients needs, capture those key moments that really tell a story, to make even my youngest and oldest clients laugh and my use of colour and the landscape. My personality: lighthearted, fun, professional and a lover of all things outdoors and quirky! If a child wants to go searching for fairies in the undergrowth or go hunt a dragon, I will do my best to help them! Geographic areas I cover: Based in Rossett, I am well situated to cover the Chester, Wrexham and the North West and North Wales areas. Venues I frequently attend: Woods, city parks, the beach, mountains, lazy rivers........ I found inspiration from: My dad is a mountain leader and so I ve been brought up walking in some of the most amazing scenery our country has to offer. I guess you can say what he taught me and what I ve seen has had a lasting effect on me!! Colin Prior and Richard Long have always been landscape photography inspiration to me. On the portrait side I love Work of Heart Photography. Success in photography: City and Guilds, HNC, solo exhibition at Wrexham Library Photographic training: City and Guilds, HNC and before my venture into photography I completed a BA Combined Honours (arts) in Egyptology and Archaeology My interests outside photography: History and the origins of civilisations, mountain trekking, bodyboarding ( much more fun that surfing and a lot easier!), reading, art and crafts and walking my black Labradors. Major events: Travelling to some amazing places and getting to absorb myself in other cultures. Why I like the SWPP: I love the level of support from my peers, the competitions and feedback.
