After all it should be a day to remember for everyone. See wedding styles page on my website for explanations of the styles of photography: Reportage Contemporary - Traditional My greatest strengths: Communicating & planning - I love to talk to the people about their day the likes, dislikes, wants & wishes so we all are happy at the end of the day. I am flexible and will accommodate the way a couple want their day to be and I always remember that I have allowed to be part of their special day and celebrations I have been in photography: Peter de Halle has been a photographer for over 40 years; he is now based in Somerset with the Mendips on his doorstep, providing him with the inspiration and opportunity to capture some outstanding images. How I got started in photography: The local photography club at the Bluecoat school in Liverpool. Then working for a local photography studio assisting at weddings and eventually covering weddings myself. We use Tri-X 120 & 35mm film, with a couple of cameras just to make sure we got the shot. My photographic skills: Having the eye to spot 'the' shot, which is why I like shooting reportage style My personality: I am a very enthusiastic person, it has been said by friends & some clients that I am evangelical on the subject of photography. If I meet someone socially or on a shoot who shows an interest in photography, I want to share my knowledge with them, so hopefully they will get the same enjoyment and buzz out of photography as I do. Geographic areas I cover: Being based in Somerset that is the area I get most of my work. I also cover Wiltshire, Devon, Cornwall, Berkshire, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. I will travel all over the UK Europe and have done so to cover events. Venues I frequently attend: I don't mind the type of venue an event is at, but obviously if the venue has good backdrops to compliment the shoot then that appeals more. It also compliments the subjects I found inspiration from: Henri Cartier-Bresson, David Bailey, Ghene Snowdon, Keith Thompson, Margaret Macatier, David Norton. The beauty of the countryside & coast and the amazing colours that nature shows us. Photographic training: Many courses over the years and the experience of 40 years of photography. My interests outside photography: Formula One motor racing, Golf Major events: Getting Married to my wonderful wife, we have just celebrated our Silver wedding anniversary. My Son & Daughter and my amazing granddaughter. Photographing the Big Sur coast of California, Carmel, Monterey etc what a trip. Why I like the SWPP: The feeling that you are part of a team.
