This opened up the opportunity to experiment with exposure and aperture and gain greater control over my newly found artform. A fully manual SLR (these were the pre-digital days) followed, together with my first experiences in the dark room at University. The thrill of seeing my own black and white prints emerge through the chemical trays lead me to create my own dark room, hosting it in the underground bathroom of the church I was attending at the time! As I progressed my photography, the beautifully back-lit reality of slides inspired me to take many rolls of this medium, including photos of my travels abroad and art installations. In 2011, I purchased my first digital camera and, as you would, never looked back. More Canon cameras followed as I also expanded my skill-set, covering long exposures, portraits and plenty of monochrome, own of my favourites. With a background in graphic design, my knack for good communication often borrows a few photos from my photography department-something you may see in the Advertising section of my portfolio! I am now a professional commercial photography, offering services primarily in product photography, events and portraits. Born in Italy, land of fine designers and luxury products, my style is classic, balanced and often somewhat high-end, as I keep an eye on style, format and detail. Studies in communication and a background as a graphic designer working in marketing, packaging and publishing, bring an important awareness of context and communication to the process and end result. I have produced photos for packaging companies, charities and local authorities, premium real estate and portraits.
