Faye and I met so many incredible individuals in our travels around Scotland, veterans of the Second Wold War Atlantic Convoys, survivors of the Korean War with stories too vivid to go into here, one who was served on HMS Plymouth which saw active service during the Falklands conflict.
The most amazing stories were from those injured in recent conflicts including one serving soldier who has lost both legs and his right arm and yet has the most positive and inspirational attitude to life going forward with his wife and young family.
Far to many stories to tell here, it was just such a privilege to meet so many of these men and women, those who served their country and those who help raise the funds required to offer help and support when needed.
