How was the seed for Remember My Baby sown?
My last child was seven weeks premature. What sticks in my mind, is that the Polaroid I was given in the hospital, was out of focus. Although I've still got that image, if it was all I had left of my baby, I'd have been devastated. At that time I didn't have a decent camera and while in hospital, unwell myself, photography was the last thing on my mind. Our aim with RMB is to have a photographer linked with every maternity unit in the UK.

Who inspires you?
I take inspiration from everyone I meet, not just one or two people. No matter what walk of life someone is from, they can inspire you if you let them.

What does the future hold?
Who knows, I'd like to be a photographer whose name is remembered in years to come, but I'll have to have done a lot more before that can happen, I'd better get my finger out.

Remember My Baby
When babies are born to a tragically short life, photographs are the only things that the grieving parents have left to cherish, a small but important memento of a life unlived. RMB is a vounteer organisation to network and provide photograpers to undertake this sensitive task. See the website for further information.
