SRB might not be a name you're overly familiar with, but this Dunstablebased British firm of precision engineers offers the trade a plethora of own branded lens adapters to fit almost any make of lens to any make of camera, along with a close-up lens set (at £19.99 SRP) and myriad filters, making it the 'go to' firm for your optical needs. In fact, SRB's ND and ND Grad filters were listed as one of the Top Ten Landscape Accessories by Amateur Photographer magazine and scored the maximum 5 stars in a group test of Neutral Density filers in Digital Camera magazine, further winning a Gold Award for their value. Lastolite Ezybox Hotshoe Plate

Lastolite

Lastolite - bought by Manfrotto a couple of years back - is well known amongst professionals for its lighting kits and flash heads. Its accessories are also plentiful and first up for recommendation is the TriGrip reflector range, an 'on the go' solution in several sizes which utilises a triangular design for what is claimed to be a much stronger and stable structure. There is also a moulded handle with securing strap for a firm one-handed hold, ensuring that light can be directed to those awkward spots such as under the chin and eyes without requiring stands or supports.

Also worthy of investigation are the Strobo kits from Lastolite, a compact user-friendly light modifying system for battery-operated flashguns. It's available as a choice of various kit configurations, using two different flashgun attachment methods. One fits straight onto a flashgun, whilst the other utilises the Ezybox Hotshoe Plate. Either way, magnetic connection points allow a range of accessories to snap into place in front of the flash, ready to modify its light.
