Sim2000 & SimLab
Another trade stalwart familiar to SWPP members is SimLab, the pro print arm of Sim2000. Worth spotlighting here is its new range of giclee prints using top quality Hahnemuhle papers and the latest Epson inkjets. With the ability to easily upload and place orders online, there are four different giclee paper finishes to choose from: Photo Rag, German Etching, Baryta and Pearl. Prices start from just £2.80 + VAT.
As you might expect, SimLab's pitch is large photographic prints at very affordable prices, and further reductions have recently been made. A case in point, metallic paper has been slashed by 50% in certain sizes. The other two large format paper options are lustre and gloss.
Both giclee and larger size prints are packed in crush proof tubes and dispatched with 48 hours. Next day mainland delivery is £5. All orders are sent via courier with online tracking. Photographers receive an email with the exact hour in which the parcel will be delivered.
Naturally, standard print sizes from 5x4-inch to 36x12-inch can be ordered via simlab.co.uk, a swift service starting at just 12p per lustre or gloss print.
A black presentation box can be added to orders, ensuring that a set of prints is ready to hand straight to your client. Orders received before 1pm are despatched the same day for next day delivery.

Canson
If it's high quality 400gsm canvas you require, then this brand may strike a chord. Canson's Infinity PhotoArt HD Canvas is an ultra white matt canvas made of a mix of cotton and polyester with a smooth weave. While its primary use is photographic printing, it is also suitable for fine art prints.
Canson tells us it has developed its product with the aim to deliver a more easy to use canvas for photographers. Photo HD Canvas, it believes, brings together the three most important criteria for photographers: instant drying, water/smudge resistance and good handling/stretching qualities.
Designed for use with inkjets, the proprietary coating is described as totally new and is optimised for pigmented inks. It boasts an extremely wide colour gamut. Infinity PhotoArt HD Canvas is available now in sheets ranging from A4 to A3+ in size, and in rolls from 17 to 60 inches wide, via specialist retailers including OnlinePaper.co.uk
