John himself says: "Convention 2012 was the best yet for me. A fantastic event from beginning to end and shared with so many wonderful people. It all started on the Wednesday with a first for me.

An urban fashion workshop shooting into the night around London Town. We started off in the theatre district before moving off around Chinatown and into Piccadilly Circus.

Very satisfying to bring the traffic to a halt as Vivienne and Zakary got smoochy under the iconic advertising signs.

Great to work with Vivienne again on Friday in the Confidential Superclass that saw us shooting boudoir images in my hotel room. I've worked with Viv for a number of years now and it's always a pleasure.

On Sunday it was great to go to the opposite end of the experience scale and welcome one of our newest models Hannah to her first Convention. She was great on our Takes Two Superclass and stayed on for the awards dinner.

By 05:00 Monday morning I got my head down for a couple of hours then back up to Yorkshire to recuperate. On the train back it was tempting to sleep but instead the laptop was out and planned my schedule for 2013, bring it on."

Damian McGillicuddy was his usual ebullient self and between him, Gordon McGowan and John Baike they managed to clog up the mezzanine totally at one stage. We actually lost John's party for more than 15 minutes, how can 20 people evaporate into the ether at such speed - and we thought we were clever dashing down the stairs as they piled into the lift!
