Once the file was assembled it was 'stamped to produce a new layer and then carefully 'spotted' with the healing brush for the almost inevitable dust marks on the detector. It was then sharpened, bordered and titled before proofing. Making a proof print showed a couple of defects that were invisible on our monitor (or at least we failed to notice them!) which required revisiting the layers masks controlling the blends in the sky. The pan build took about two hours to complete.

The final image was 21,700 pixels by 7,320 pixels, equating to a 60" x 20" print at 360ppi. If you allow this to reduce the 72dpi discussed earlier this is a wall covering of 300" x 100" (7.3m x 2.1m), once the border has been removed.
