OnOne Software
OnOne will be a familiar name to any Imagemaker reader, chiefly for its long-established range of Photoshop and now Lightroom enabled plugins.
And, whilst it continues to release these, just as we were going to press onOne decided to launch a brand new version of its standalone product in Perfect Photo Suite 7, available from late October.
Enthusiastic users of Perfect Photo Suite and onOne's product portfolio include the likes of John Denton and Bjorn Tommassen. Another fan is Damian McGillicuddy, who says:

With onOne's UK-based General Manager Bob Campbell believing that most photographers only use around 20% of Photoshop's capabilities anyway, the Perfect Photo Suite aims to be just that, providing all one might need to enable you to make your workflow simpler, quicker and moreover better.
The faster and easier Version 7 naturally features new tools, a new intuitive interface, improved performance, plus - should you require it - the option of direct integration with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Apple Aperture. A brand new module is Perfect B&W, designed to help photographers at all levels create dynamic monochrome imagery. There are also new versions of stalwarts, Perfect Portrait, Perfect Effects, Perfect Layers and Perfect Resize.
The module Perfect Effects 4 has a new effects library with search capability, a favourites folder, larger image view plus new effects, textures and borders. Perfect Portrait 2 comes with new retouching and auto enhancement tools. Perfect Layers 3 has a new image browser, search functionality, blending modes and Perfect Brush. The Perfect Brush tool incidentally has new precise edge detected masking, while Perfect Resize 7.5 Pro includes improved image resizing algorithms powered by Genuine Fractals.
Via the main onOne website the cost of Perfect Photo Suite 7 is $299.95 to first-time users or $149.95 to those upgrading.
