When a friend asked Melissa to help her rebrand her wedding photography business, she couldn't possibly know where it would lead. Being encouraged to take a stall at the Societies' Convention three years ago led to Melissa taking away a year's worth of business from a single week of promotion! Since then Melissa has spoken at the Societies Convention business school and this year is also leading two masterclasses in design and blogging as well.

At the time she spoke at the Convention Melissa owned and edited a magazine, commissioning design and photography work on a regular basis. Becoming frustrated at some of the work that she received back Melissa began to take more and more of it into her own hands. "I resisted it for a long time, but I found I was really enjoying it. So I started up a design business side by side and it has become so successful that it took over and I sold the magazine last year" she said.
