In Photo Tune we are less sure of the benefits to the experienced user, getting things right at the taking stage or colour tuning in Camera RAW seems a much easier way to proceed. However, for those who like to twiddle knobs while watching a screen there are plenty to turn!

Perfect Layers

This is a standalone plug-in which operates from Lightroom or Aperture and creates layered files from those host applications, which are then available as layered files in Photoshop. Although we did not test it (we don't even have Lightroom!) the implications are quite tasty. Many readers use Lightroom as an integral part of their workflow. Layering files enables them to export a file containing a bunch of images for say an album page directly to Photoshop for rearrangement, placement of effects, etc. Bridge users do this using 'Load Files into Photoshop Layers' but many Lightroom devotees don't go anywhere near Bridge!
