The Ultra Bond High White we did not test at all but is offered by the manufacturers as a good choice for an inexpensive proofing media where low cost, rather than colour accuracy, is important. Suitable for making wedding contact sheets and the like and very competitively priced!
Although we have been unable, so far, to achieve Fogra certification standards for 2008 we pressed on with the slightly less stringent 2007 requirements. These we achieved after three iterations of profile adjustment and although we did this using instruments, we understand that the guys at Pruf have managed it by tuning by eye.
The two histograms show the improvement we obtained by tuning the profile. Note in the lower example the reduced height of the bars.
We obtained a swatch book from proof for they have some other interesting papers with and without Fogra certification. They are listed in the table below.
