It also offers lens and lighting hire. Its customer base comprises a plethora of wedding and event photographers. The difference between Hireacamera and a retailer is obviously that the financial commitment of trying new models is considerably less when you’re hiring - and the company says that, as a result, it has seen its photographers adopting equipment earlier than they might have done in a retail environment.

Unsurprisingly, hire of premium-end compact system camera ranges such as those from Fujifilm, Olympus and Sony has proved as popular as - or more popular than - traditional DSLRs, as photographers consider going ‘mirrorless’.
