A report compiled from the words and deeds of Jonathon & Martin Brooks, Terry Hansen, Phil and Juliet Jones (and family), Tom Lee,
Like all good things, it was worth working and waiting for. Whilst Juliet and Phil took the brunt of the day-to-day graft during the run up, the actual weekend was a team effort of which the SWPP/BPPA can be justifiably proud. The preceding trade day and seminars were busy and well attended by both punters and trade - both are vital to the success of these things.
The very busy day only served to accelerate people into the party mood as soon as the doors were closed and the bar had opened - some people even found time to avail themselves of the hotel's wonderful exercise room, swimming pool and sauna before pre-dinner drinks. When the party was led through to the conference area it had been transformed by the hotel staff from a lecture theatre-cum-shop into a full blown Oscar Ceremony set!
