Her interest in photography came about after a study trip to Japan resulted in her opening a Flickr account in order to keep in touch with friends she had met while away. Previously she had considered photography as just a way of documenting the world around her, but looking more closely she discovered the potential that it held. "This online world full of great artists, together with my natural inclination for art, made me think I could create something original and that I could combine photography with my passion for painting." After making steady improvement, Chiara began to notice a personal style develop and others began to take notice of the dream world that she was creating.

Since 2010 Chiara's work has featured in a huge variety of exhibitions all over the world as well as being the cover art on over 40 books. And of course this doesn't even consider the number of interviews and features about her work in magazines and online. Chiara also teaches Photoshop in a school in Lecce, the town in Southern Italy where she lives and has lectured in Malta as a result of her photographic work.
