The second workshop being hosted by Dennis, and one which ties in with his chairmanship of the 20x16in panel this year, consists of a look at print judging. "I'll be outlining the system of judging," says Dennis, "before inviting the audience to become judges of a variety of images themselves.
I hope to educate the delegates at this workshop to look out for the pitfalls in their work and to start to look at their images through a judge's eye. Whether that then leads to future success is up to them. All I know is that it worked for me!"
Passing on knowledge in such a free and unstinting way is a mark of a great photographer and Dennis Orchard is truly up there with the best.
"What differentiates a pro PJ shooter from Bob is the ability to capture the emotion of the moment."
