Master Photographer, Nick Ghionis' love affair with photography started 25 years ago while travelling to Fiji.

He bought his first camera while on holiday and spent his time on that trip taking photographs of landscapes and the Fijian locals. He quickly fell in love with photography and then spent the next several years devouring books and magazines and assisting other photographers without pay. This allowed him to gain the knowledge and valuable experience he needed to become a successful, internationally renowned, professional photographer.

Over the years, Nick has been recognised with numerous international awards including winning first place in several different categories at WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International). Most recently, Nick was also named as the 2011 AIPP Victorian Photographer of the Year and the 2011 AIPP Victorian Wedding Photographer of the Year.

After spending the last 25 years in the industry, Nick Ghionis along with his wife, Sharifa, now find themselves at the helm of XSiGHT Photography. XSiGHT is renowned worldwide for producing breathtaking images and for having a multi-award winning team of photographers in studios along the east coast of Australia, the United States and most recently in London, UK. In addition to photographing over 60 weddings per year, Nick also finds the time to conduct intensive workshops and hands-on seminars. His passion for teaching and for raising the standard of professional photography led him to create The XMENTORS (www.thexmentors.com) together with celebrated Rocco Ancorra.

Nick is teaming up with London business partner Adam Alex to provide six hours of training in creative wedding photography on Monday 16 January, to close out the Convention - an event not to be missed so booking is vital!
