Upon the immortal words 'that's a wrap', I dashed straight to Hans andTommy and begged for two minutes of their time before they were drivenback to unit base. Later, they both said that despite being exhausted, (filmdays are a standard long 11 hours!) they both saw in my face how muchI cared and believed in this picture and knowing how quickly I work andnever take the ****, they both agreed!
Having marked my place on the puddle, I lay down for thankfully thelast time and directed them both to hold tools; my assistant (this timeBen) hand-held the Elinchrom Ranger so that it lit both actors and theforeground area around them.
As the perspective was identical, it was not much trouble to place my'extras' perfectly within the scene and to add their reflections too. To finishoff the image and to add a stark and industrial feel, I also desaturated thecolours.
In fact, it was probably a whole lot easier to put the image together later, than to explain to my wife why my 'clean on' clothes were utterly filthy!
