Enhanced Child Mode
PortraitPro 15 can also enhance child photos better. Children need very different treatment from adults in terms of photographic enhancement, and new modes have been added to the software to treat children more sensitively.
More advanced Skin Colouring Controls
Brand new skin colouring controls allow you to intelligently correct for any lighting situation and give skin a healthy, natural glow.
Improved feature detection
The feature detector has been made more accurate in version 15 to improve the quality of results and speed throughout.
Support for ultra high resolution displays
PortraitPro v15 now elegantly supports Apple Retina and Hi Res PC displays.
The much requested make-up control provides for changes to most of the stuff that ladies do before stepping out, so you can tweak eye-shadow colours, lipstick and blushers in the blink of an eye. The new skin colour controls are also a joy to use; you can just lift a tone here and there to produce a subtle but important improvement. This new version also has special controls for babies to deal with both the different (pinker) skin tone and facial shape.
Overall we remain hugely impressed by what this program does and although some restraint will be needed by the operator, a beginner can achieve truly professional-level retouching within minutes of starting. While there is much debate about retouching and its ethics, the truth is that a massive majority of people always prefer the 'improved' image over the original when faced with a choice. This translates directly to more business; this is software which easily earns its keep!
