Sim Imaging
Another familiar name to those in the trade and the business ofsourcing high-impact presentation products is Sim Imaging - supplyingprofessional books and albums handmade by its team of masterbookbinders - which has a couple of newly launched solutions for 2016with which to entice.
The first is the introduction of 'Velvet Paper' for albums and books - andthe second is its new Book and USB box option.
Velvet Paper, a Fuji DP2 professional paper, as it sounds, offers a soft touch,yet durability with it. It's described as being very similar to a fine art mattlaminate surface and is available for Digital, Classic and Matted Albums,as well as Sim's Coffee Table (at an additional 10% cost) or Portrait books.To choose the velvet Paper option when ordering, simply select the papertype in the shopping cart.
The second new Sim Imaging offer involves its Pro Book and Wooden USBBox, a new A6 portrait book designed to fit perfectly into a larger woodenUSB box. One Vision Imaging
The core products for this outfit at the time of writing are its Ten Squaredprint boxes, its wedding albums and, naturally, its wall art. Of these, itsAllura Matted album is described as stunning, whilst the Mosaic Box Frameis a leading example of its wall art products - said to be ideal for weddingshots and lifestyle imagery in general.
For anyone not already familiar, as the name suggests (and appealingto the Instagram and Polaroid generation) Ten Squared Print Boxes are10x10cm in size and hold 27 prints on 350gsm white satin card. Thereare 11 box style options to choose from and production time is a claimedfive days. Obviously for those photographers dealing with clients, thereare up-selling opportunities here, as indeed there are promotional ones:you can add your own text or logos to the prints, and/or have yourbranding on the outer box using stickers. Said stickers can also be orderedalongside. Ten Squared is laid out by the photographer, using One Vision'sfree-to-download 'One Vision Creator' software.
The second recommended product via One Vision Imaging is the AlluraMatted album, with the option being to choose between leather or suedecovered album (and up to 20 colours), and enjoy bevelled cut mounts. Thecompany tells us that each image aperture is accompanied by contrastcoremount board to enhance the presentation of each photo throughoutthe album. The finishing touch is an elegant box and gloves. Again thealbums are built and ordered through One Vision Creator, available fordownload via the website (URL below).
Finally we have the popular Mosaic Box Frame option via One VisionImaging - which is described as the reinvention of an industry favouriteproduct. Here's how it works: your images are printed photographicallyand then sealed and set into 35mm deep wooden box frames of varioussizes before one is attached to another to create the eye-catchingconjoined effect. You have the choice of four mosaic-style combinations,as well as five box frame moulding colours. Production time is around aweek.
